Our Story

Every Kid Deserves a Village. Here's Why We're Building One in Fort Myers.

ACF stands for Advancing Community Forward. Meet the founder, the conviction behind the Foundation, and the Board built to carry it well past any one person's calendar.

A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, governed by a Board of Directors from day one.

Dr. Phil Phillips, founder of ACF Direct Impact Foundation

The Founder

Dr. Phil Phillips Didn't Set Out to Start a Nonprofit. He Set Out to Make Sure Bright Kids Get the Direction They Deserve.

For years, Dr. Phil Phillips has worked as a coach, consultant, and organizational development leader, helping churches, businesses, and community groups across Southwest Florida build stronger teams and stronger leaders. That work kept circling back to the same truth: you can train an organization all day long, but if the bright, capable young people coming up behind it don't have mentors, direction, and a stable village at home, all that potential goes unspent.

That's the gap ACF Direct Impact Foundation exists to close. Dr. Phillips founded ACF as a registered 501(c)(3), built to last well beyond any single program or budget year, and governed by a Board of Directors from day one.
